I missed writing on discover prompt “focus”, since I wasn’t too inspired by it. But I decided to give it a shot albeit a late shot!
Over the past 2 years I have started travelling a lot – some solo travel, some family travel and some travel with friends. I’ve loved taking photos for a long time. Previously, I didn’t enjoy being a part of photos because I wasn’t confident about how I looked. But as I’ve come to accept who I am, I really like having photos taken of me. Crazily, I think the only person who gets my photos right is me! I really like framing a place with the person in focus but the background is also highlighted. I just don’t think other people get what I’m seeing in my mind’s eye. So before my solo trip to Spain, I decided to buy a tripod so that I could take my own photos. This was such an amazing decision because I got to take amazing photos of me during the trip without being dependant on other people to understand the focus and subject of the photo. I like the whole wide angle and you in it. Have you ever thought of zooming in on yourself a little more or being closer to the camera? I also enjoying taking pictures, but always preferred being behind the camera. Every now and then I’ll be in front of the camera. I don’t know why, but I always feel girls do a better job when it comes to taking their own photos. maybe it just me.

I didn’t really want to post the close ups on here but I do that. 🙈
I think girls are more finicky about how they want to look in photos so end up taking 100 photos out of which 1-2 meet their expectations. I think boys are more chill about their photos.

This is such a brilliant idea. Often, we get shy to ask for someone to take our photo, or if you are alone, then what do you do? Great shots! Plus, I’ve been wanting to invest in one for video conference (all the rage these days) 😛

I love the building with yellow tiles. I wouldn’t imagine that you took all these pictures by yourself. Spain looks so beautiful, did you go from North to South of Spain or just a few cities?
