I missed writing on discover prompt “focus”, since I wasn’t too inspired by it. But I decided to give it a shot albeit a late shot!
Over the past 2 years I have started travelling a lot – some solo travel, some family travel and some travel with friends. I’ve loved taking photos for a long time. Previously, I didn’t enjoy being a part of photos because I wasn’t confident about how I looked. But as I’ve come to accept who I am, I really like having photos taken of me. Crazily, I think the only person who gets my photos right is me! I really like framing a place with the person in focus but the background is also highlighted. I just don’t think other people get what I’m seeing in my mind’s eye. So before my solo trip to Spain, I decided to buy a tripod so that I could take my own photos. This was such an amazing decision because I got to take amazing photos of me during the trip without being dependant on other people to understand the focus and subject of the photo. Here’s a sample of the photos that I took of myself during the trip –
Do leave a comment on what you think about my photography effort? Do you also have a particular way of getting photographed or am I just very finicky? 🙈
