Day 3 of my “Happiness Is” photo series. If you haven’t already, do check out my first two posts too!
I’ve been reading since I was 6-7 years old. My parents inculcated this habit in me since I was very young. I love reading – it’s such an easy way to escape into another world. I’ve fallen in love with so many literary characters from Sydney Carton (A tale of two cities) to Mr. Darcy (Pride and Prejudice) to Sirius Black (Harry Potter) to Gerry (PS: I love you) to Prince Caspian (Chronicles of Narnia). And found home in so many far away imaginary places (Hogwarts). Here is my attempt at photographing books that I read and love –

Such lovely pics. I used to live in Mumbai and this brings back so many memories. I do love reading too but unfortunately my work schedule doesnt give me too much time. But I think I’ve made up for lost time in this lockdown. Thank you for sharing your favourites.

Thank you. I loved living in Mumbai. I moved out 2 months back.
The past few years my reading has reduced too. But I’m trying to get back to my original reading. Hope you do too! βΊοΈ
Are you reading anything interesting these days?

I need to re read The sense of an ending by Julian Barnes. This book needs a lot experience with other books and life. My thought completely. Kind off a test of patience. π
One hundred years of Solitude has imagery of high standards. Salute to the writer.
Try Salman Rushdie, I enjoyed his Haroun and Luka.
Coehlo: I have left reading him. I loved Eleven Minutes and The Alchemist.
Wow. This seems exciting every time. Discussing books. Happy Reading. π

Yeah? I’ll try re-reading “The Sense of an Ending” too. I just found the book’s pace very slow – made me sleepy.
Thank you for your recommendations! β€οΈ

at the moment the library I go to to check out books is closed, so I haven’t been reading lately. I did read a lot when I was little. mostly science and history books. When I was working at another job, a lot of the people there would read during break or lunch. Conversation were about books, so I thought, well better start reading if I going to to fit in with this crowd(older people).

Thanks for so many recommendations. Making a mental note of all the books to be read because somehow I think I’ll like what you like because even my three favourite things are travelling, reading and posing for pictures! haha β€

Yup, I’ve seen some. I think I’m gravitating towards lighter reads these days. Any recommendations for a light, fun read?

Have you ever read the Hunger Games series? They are easy to read, like eating junk food π

I have! Loved the first part but the other two were very average and the movies were no good. π

I enjoyed all the books actually, and while the movies weren’t as good as the books, I still liked them. Team Peeta π
