As the year rushes towards the end, I sat down to do a review of my year. While writing the review I had this sudden realization about how BIG a part of my year this blog was. It literally gave me something to look forward to on some really bleak days. I loved that this year gave me a chance to finally give this blog some time. While there were many highlights through this blog year, I have picked my 5 favourite highlights to share with you. Hope you enjoy reading these!
The Discover Prompts Challenge
It was the Discover Prompts challenge in the month of April that actually kickstarted this blog. April was a very bleak month for me and this blog soon became the highlight of my day! It was a daily word challenge that helped me not only become more regular about posting, it also gave me inspiration to write everyday and laid the foundation to my blogging family!
My Very First Blogger Friend
The discover prompts challenge led me to meet and interact with a lot of people. But the one person who stood out for me then and has remained a friend ever since is Lani! I am so thankful to her for all the motivation and support that she’s given me ever since we connected during the DP challenge. I’m not exaggerating but her kind words helped me stick around on my blog long enough to fall in love with blogging! My First Blogging Milestone
500 followers! I never ever thought that I’d be able to reach this milestone mainly because I am a huge slacker when it comes to promoting this blog. I enjoy the writing part of blogging but I don’t enjoy the marketing part of blogging since the aim has never been to monetize this blog. It’s always been a safe haven for me to share my craziest of thoughts and actually find people who resonate with them. The best part about reaching this milestone was that it happened on MY BIRTHDAY! My Very Own Blogging Family
I finally have a blogging family! It may not be very big but I love that I have a small set of people who show my blog love and support no matter what. I wish I could name you all here but I think you know who you are. I love you guys and thank you so much for sticking around through the year! You’ve made me very very happy this year. ❤
Writing 100+ Posts This Year
It started off with the Discover Prompts Challenge through which I ended up writing 25 blogs in Apr’2020. But thereafter I remained consistent on here and ended up writing over a 100 posts on here. I celebrated my 100th post in July, you can read it here. I’m not only celebrating writing a lot but I am also celebrating being consistent! While I haven’t found one single topic that I want to write about – I have loved discovering new topics to write about including sustainability as well writing humourous posts!
While there were many more highlights including my first 100+ likes on a post to 10000+ views but these were my favourite! It’s been an exciting year and I hope I continue with the same gusto in 2021! Thank you so much for following me in my blogging journey. So grateful for all the love and support. ❤

On a different note, I’ve been on wordpress for over 5 years and I still haven’t reached 100 posts! Albeit I was pretty inactive until this lockdown, but still. Damn! That’s a huge feat. So congrats 😊💕

Congratulations on reaching these milestones. They are definitely significant and are something to feel proud about. I can understand how you feel about the promo side of blogging, and personally I enjoy it to some degree as it takes less brain power than writing posts, yet it can get tedious!
