Disclaimer: None of these are very new songs – I just find old songs that make me feel something and listen to them on repeat. I don’t really believe in celebrating Valentine’s day but I just am in a mood right now for romantic songs, books and movies, so I’m blaming it on V Day! 😀
Mona Lisa by Grant Lee Philips
I was reminded of this song while re-watching an old episode of Gilmore Girls (S4 Eps.13) and has been stuck in my head ever since. I imagine this playing in the background if my life was a dramatic movie (Christina Applegate plays me :P).
Iris (Cover) by Kina Grannis
Who doesn’t love the original version of Iris by Goo Goo Dolls but definitely give this rendition a listen – it is so beautiful – it moves me so much to listen to this version.
You Are My Sunshine (Cover) by Jasmine Thompson
Again another cover that had me hooked – it is such a beautiful take on the original.
You and Me (Cover) by Boyce Avenue
I LOVE most covers by Boyce Avenue – they just redo the songs adding their own flair to it and making it so much more different than the original.
Heaven (cover) by Boyce Avenue
If you haven’t heard this song – you are really missing out on something – it is such a beautiful take on Bryan Adam’s original. This song has me doing major sighing. *sigh*
Can’t Help Falling In Love (Cover) – Andrea Bocelli
Your heart is made of stone if this version of the song doesn’t melt your heart. Andrea’s voice makes my heart skip so many beats.
Nit Nit by Jasleen Royal
I only recently heard this song and I’m hooked.
Baari by Bilal Saeed & Momina Mustehsan
‘Baari’ is all sorts of dreamy and Bilal & Momina’s voices just make it even more beautiful. *MAJOR SIGHING HAPPENING*
