Have you ever heard the perfect song at the perfect moment and it made an ordinary moment….. extraordinary?
The weather yesterday was gorgeous and I walked around in the rain listening to ‘The Nights’ by Avicii and it was just the perfect evening.
He said: “One day you’ll leave this world behind
So live a life you will remember”
If you’ve been reading my blog over the past few weeks, you’ll know I’ve been lacking in motivation but this song and this moment just fuelled me with so much motivation. I don’t want to have regrets when I’m older about the time I wasted doing nothing significant right now.
Another song that I’ve been enjoying lately is ‘Cover me in Sunshine’ by Pink. In these dark moments in India – this song is such a mood uplifter. The weather has put me in a specially good mood – hence, this totally random post that I contemplated A LOT before posting. I hope you’re having a good week too. If not, always remember..

So I loved loved Spring Day, Make it Right and Way back home. BTS is so cuteee. And Shaun’s voice is so so nice. Like I like his deep voice.
Also doesn’t the character in the video of Make it Right feel likes it’s Jon Snow? 🙈

Yesssss I’ve had those moments! One of mine involved a Miley Cyrus song, a rainbow, and the Empire State Building! Ugh you’ll get through this, keep hanging in 💖Also, thank you for sharing that Pink song. She’s soooooo talented and I’ve loved her for years. And I love that her daughter is singing with her, how adorable. I downloaded it and added to my playlist “Moon Goddess – For Gently Going Within” 🤣🌸🤷🏼♀️

The Miley song was When I Look At You and I was stuck in traffic on a highway outside of the city (the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway) and I was like melting down, sobbing in the car. And just exactly when she was singing about kaleidoscopic colors, I turned and looked at the Manhattan skyline and there was a rainbow 🌈 hanging just over the Empire State Building. It was like INSANE magical 🦄 👼🏻💖 !!!

Whaaaa? Definitely try walking in the rain next time around. I mean unless it’s like a proper downpour then it’s no fun. But when it’s drizzling and the air smells of wet mud – it’s just so pretty. When I was in school – my friends and I would dance in the rain to romantic songs. 🤣

One of the things I always come back to when Im feeling down is music. There is nothing like it to uplift my mood. One that I like is Drive by Incubus which is kinda old but good . I hope the situation in India gets better soon. Take care.

When I was in my 20’s, I’d drive to a club on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles to listen to my friend sing in his band. It was a work night, but I still found myself walking down Sunset Blvd. at 1am thinking, “I’m not going to be doing this when I’m 40!” And I was right.
Thank you for the reminder to live in the moment, because these moments pass quickly.

I am familiar with Avicii (I love Wake Me Up), but honestly, this is the first time I’ve heard this song. Though at 62, my daredevil days are gone, I totally appreciate the “no regrets” philosophy. It is the way I’ve lived my life over the last few decades. I wish I wouldn’t have wasted so many years being fearful of trying new things, but at least I finally got here. Never going back.
