5 Thoughts Every Blogger Has

My friends say – blogging is a fun hobby. But is it really? Anyone who has been blogging for a few months will know that it can get stressful when the stats aren’t flowing and the likes aren’t coming. I love how blogging has provided me with an outlet for my feelings and thoughts but at the same time I hate how at the end of every week I obsess over not getting a lot of views (considering I really don’t do anything to promote my blog). There are a few recurring thoughts that I think while blogging. These thoughts range from happy to sad to envious to downright evil.

Here are some thoughts that I have pretty often and hope other bloggers can relate –

  1. After every post – “Why did I get only 60 likes despite having 1000 followers? Did the others follow me and immediately disappear from the face of earth?”
  2. When work gets too hectic – “Can I monetize this blog and retire already? I think I’m funny enough to earn enough to atleast be able to shop at the H&M sale racks.”
  3. When someone connects on the gram – “She started following my personal profile (which is actually public), now she’ll know I’m not as cool as I make it sound on the blog!”
  4. Readings posts that are snooze fests but have a 100 loving comments –“WAIT, that gets 200 likes and a 100 comments but my hilarious post doesn’t? LIFE IS SO UNFAIR!”
  5. Every time someone nominates you for an award – “May every little girl who witnessed this moment forever believe in the power of her dreams and may they see their faces reflected in mine. I proudly state I am Miss Universe 2019 oops, Vincent Elogjhsjsfjggj Blogger Award Nominee!”

Please tell me you have similar thoughts and I’m not the weird one thinking these thoughts. I have chosen the least controversial of my thoughts to share, if you’d want a post with the more controversial thoughts – let me know in the comments. (:P) What are recurring thoughts that you have?

Can totally relate to all of these feelings, although have a very tiny following 🀣 Still dont understand where they have gone or how bloggers who appear to put in very little effort get way more likes and comments. Guess we’ll never know!
You are one of my fav bloggers, hopefully that counts for something 😘😘😘

I do end up obsessing over the stats a little. Especially since I see the follower counter rising every day but not so much engagement. πŸ™ˆ

This post made be chuckle πŸ˜‚ Defo have ALL these thoughts πŸ™ˆ Sometimes it feels so unfair to put in all the effort and see minimal results 😬 I think SEO and social media presence as well as fitting in a certain box play a big role in like, comments & followers. It’s unfortunately not all about good content 😢

  37. Oh my word I totally relate to all of these πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ especially the ones about views and likes. I am really bad at promoting my blog but I have quite a few followers yet I literally always think how am I only getting so few views or likes, then I feel very down and wonder if blogging is still worth it. You are a truly amazing blogger and I dream of reaching a level like you one day but it’s also really cool to know you feel these things too (even though the feelings themselves make you want to drown yourself in ice cream) πŸ™ˆ lots of love πŸ˜˜β€οΈπŸ’—βœ¨

Focus on doing what you do and doing it to the best of your ability may give you more creative freedom. I know that it is always encouraged to get more followers, more likes, more everything. In fact, it is your creativity and your persistence that will work for you over time. Not everyone starts these things and not everyone keeps them up. Likes and such can come with time. You can’t expect to be the same place in your journey as someone else. Each person starts at a different place and some have more family and friends than others. Some start out having a following. Some do not. Anyway just a different viewpoint. Being you is the most important thing you can do for yourself and for your blog. Hope it is of interest. If not, feel free to ignore it πŸ™‚
