Types Of Blogging Emails I Receive

A really cute email I received sparked this post. Though by writing this I am incriminating myself for all the emails I never got to replying to. (Oops!!) I don’t really get a lot of “professional” emails, if that’s what you were expecting from this post. This is just a fun glimpse into my blogging life.

  • Cutest emails Snehal reached out to me to wish me for friendships day and it is her email that sparked this post. It was such a cute email and made me feel so good. I often forget to count the blogging friends when I think about friends but honestly its them that got me through the craziness of the last one year.
  • Concerned emails – A bunch of my friends reached out during the COVID second wave in India to make sure I was okay and it was so sweet and really really made me feel good on some bleak days.
From my soul sister, Shahrin! ❀
  • Blogging Tips – These emails embarrass me the most since I literally don’t know anything about growing a blog. I usually throw in the words SEO and DA and guide them to Shelly’s blog from where I originally learnt these words. πŸ˜€
  • Collab posts – I love getting these emails but to be honest I’m not the easiest to collab with since my creativity and schedule is very erratic. (PS: if I don’t know you at all, I probably won’t reply to these emails – I am just very socially awkward) Check out my recent collab with Tia!
  • Blogger Interviews – I’m not the biggest fan of getting asked to be interviewed – I really don’t have any answers for generic blogger growth questions and I also find it awkward to say no.
  • Building Backlinks – These ones always intrigued me and I agree to most of them because well, it isn’t too much work adding a link. But now that I have my own website that I am trying to grow – I understand the benefits. So, if any of you kind people would like to help me with this – that would be great! ❀
  • Reviewing books – I honestly feel bad including this one because I have gotten a few requests to review books but I have never responded to them because I honestly read so sporadically. I literally pick up a book on a free day and finish reading it the same day and on those days I never remember these requests.
  • Writing articles – I feel privileged to have been asked to write for a few publications but to be honest, never got time to submit articles because between writing for a publication and writing here – I choose here (you guys owe me). Just kidding! I just feel like my creativity flows better on here when I write with no pressure to write. But I am going to take up these offers to write in the future.

The mails I look forward to get are brand emails from my favourite brands wanting to work with me or just to give me free stuff – here is hoping I get them soon. πŸ˜€ What are your favourite blogging emails that you look forward to?

  1. It true, creativity is best when it flows unbridled, by own choice. Btw I too feel socially awkward promoting self.

Right? Even though I’ve been asked to write on topics I like but I still find it hard to write in a given deadline about a fixed topic. :/

Same – so so socially awkward! But the good thing is that if you interact with enough bloggers on here – you wouldn’t need need to promote your blog. πŸ™‚

Great idea for a post! I don’t actually have my contacts listed on my page (although it’s not top secret though) because, like you, I’m a bit awkward and fear someone I don’t know very well or someone requests a collab that I don’t know how to decline lol… Sounds a bit over confident (like, okay not everyone wants to collab with bosssybabe, c’mon!, but hopefully you get what I mean lol).. So far it’s been good, people have gotten my email by asking in my private comments section and I haven’t had any awkward encounters πŸ™‚

I think I make interactions more awkward by not replying at all to emails I don’t want to. πŸ˜€
I am sure a lot of people want to collab with you! I do too! Hopefully soon! ❀

  5. 1 year into blogging no collaboration yet. Not that I haven’t received any requests but it’s awkward for me to correct someone whom I don’t know in person.
Though I’m looking forward to this.

It’s so good that you’re getting publication requests. Not everyone’s cup of tea.

I get what you mean – collabs are hard! Me and Tia sent each other like 40 emails before getting this collab out. Which is why I choose to collaborate with friends – since it is easier to tell them what is on your mind. πŸ™‚

I loved your concerned mail during COVID times! It really made me feel so good. So thank you again for that! ❀

And hey, I mailed you about a post! I just never got to writing that post – but I am planning to soon! I got really great inputs and then just lost the plotline of the post. But I have a new angle now.

And comments mean so much more since someone actually took time to read what you wrote.

πŸ˜‚πŸ§‘This is cuteness & hilarity packed in one😘Omg it’s been four years I am blogging and all the times I have opened my email to get brand offers -but never! Where’s audible at? I would like some free books pleaseπŸ˜‚

On a serious note, do take up on the writing offers though (if it’s worthwhile) they are quite beneficial for blogging! xx

    Hahaha I hear you completely
I’ve recently started writing for a publication and I’m excited. I was the one who approached them though just to make a bit of money.

My only concern is how I kind of neglected my blog and I felt do guiltyπŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†. Honestly soeaking if I was to choose, I would definitely choose to write on my blog always. Less pressure and its just enjoyable
