My Hopes For The Last Month of 2021

HOW IS IT ALREADY DECEMBER????? 2021 has literally slipped away in the blink of an eye. But we still have this last one month to make good on all the things we’d achieve in 2021 but haven’t yet. 2021 was a really hard year for me personally – COVID (season 2) and its aftermath left me a broken person and it has taken the longest time to put myself back together (I am still work in progress). But with things slowly returning to normal (please no Omicron), here are my hopes from the last month of 2021 –

  1. Better physical health – I’ve finally gotten back to working out and eating right, here’s hoping I keep at it in December and enter 2022 with better physical health. I also hope to shed a few kgs (realistic target of 4kgs for December).
  2. Better mental health – These past 2 years have taken a toll on me – anxiety wise – I am going to keep working on myself in December and hoping to get into a better mental frame before 2022. I’ve been grappling with social anxiety too which has made it super hard to work effectively too – so I’m going to try and put myself in situations where I can confront my social anxiety (instead of avoiding it forever).
  3. Work on my business plan – I started my own small business in 2021 (probably the only highlight of this year) and while it has picked up over the past 6 months, I still have SO SO much to do and achieve. I’m hoping to enter 2022 with a solid business plan as to where I see my business going.
  4. Do some good – I have been donating to different causes over the past few years but couldn’t do enough this year since I have been cash strapped (with all my savings invested in my business). But I still want to do some good before the year ends and have decided to do two things – 1. Volunteer once a week at some cause maybe teach underprivileged children 2. Become an organ donor – this is something I’ve wanted to do for a while but thought it was going to be a long procedure but surprisingly it isn’t – so I am signing up to be an organ donor (probably would be done by the time this post is posted)
  5. Be happier – If you read my last post, I’ve worked hard these past few months to get me to a better place, a happier mental space and I want to focus on being happy in this last month. 2021 has made me cry a lot, broken me a few times but I am taking December back and I am going to be as happy as possible in this festive season.

Overall I am grateful for having survived the year and just looking forward to exit it happier and more peaceful. How was 2021 for you? What are your hopes from the last month of this year? Go out with a bang? 😀

Do check out my other recent posts, if you haven’t already –

  1. Frankly I am not thinking much about the last month of this year. I am just enjoying winter season and yes I am definitely focusing on physical and mental well being. Just enjoying the moment at present👍☺️

I used to get all stressed out at the end of the year, feeling internal and external pressure to achieve my resolutions before years end. Then I’d feel so guilty about not having done it.

That was a hamster wheel I’m happy to have stepped off of, because the cycles of anxiety and depression it triggered weren’t worth my mental health!

I now live by the philosophy that each day is a brand new day, another opportunity to start fresh! Heck, if I really feel motivated, I’ll start a new hour or minute with a fresh perspective!!

Any time is basically a good time, so the calendar no longer holds the same pressures or deadlines as it once did!

There’s been so many pressures and stresses from the panDAMNit that I feel we need to mindfully remove ourselves from the old cycles and just honor what we are able to do each day!

  4. Thanks for sharing always! And I’m glad you’re surviving 2021, we’re almost through it, and onto bigger and better! I think 😬🤔 Hmm my wish for the end of this year is maybe for my partner to magically become ready to propose and impregnate me next year ha! And I also want to get my body a bit more fit this month in preparation for said impregnation. And maybe try not to go over my goal weight, which I’m at now, in the sweet spot. I just wanna make sure I stay there through the holidays. Oh yeah and I also want to create a lot more collages this month, and hopefully sell some goddess vibes mugs. Man I have a lot this month ha! Thanks for this post, it was great to reflect and to hear u reflect too 😘💖

How are you marketing your mugs? I’d love to help in any way possible.

      1. Thank u! Yes December is magical!! So I’m selling my mugs on Etsy and paying for an ad there which def generates traffic. I also post link / pic at the end of every blog article and link at the top. Link in my Instagram. I do some Pinterest pins and I could pay to promote one, but I’ve been paying a lot for ads so trying not to do that. I offered a coupon code in my newsletter that expired today, so I might put them on sale I dunno my profit margin is tight unfortunately bc of shipping. Several people have favorited it and/or gave it in their Etsy cart. What do you think overall?

I cannot believe it’s December already! This year just flew by so quickly. I’m really excited for the holidays, and a break from school.
Like your first two goals, I want to use my free time to go running or on walks, so that I can become, happier and healthier.
Since I love baking, during the holidays I like to donate most of what I bake. I’m hoping that, like you I can do some good this this year too!
Wish you all the best with your goals! 🙂 🙂

Great goals, Moksha! I like that they’re focused on giving back and self-care!

2021 was a mixed bag for me.. I felt like the beginning half was tough as it was for all but the latter half was not bad, I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot this year with my blog and I’m proud of the progress. It’s been a big feat of my life! 🙂

Love your blog and you’re doing so great with it. I’ve been slacking on the blogging bit – but hoping to get into a new routine soon. ☺️
Things are looking up across the globe (as long as that damn variant doesn’t wreck havoc). Cheers to an amazing December!!

Good to see that you have set clear goals on life and working to reach there. Everyone is a work in progress but not many survive the first few struggles/ failures they face. Health ..both mental n physical are important and good you are well aware and giving time for it. Not many have the courage like you to get their own startup going. Yes a good business plan is needed. But remember no plan is fool proof but try to cater for major contingencies you can think of. Finances are always short but should not be stopping you though may slow the progress.
With your attitude you will certainly succeed.
    Stay blessed always. 🙏🌹🙏

Glad to see that this year has been friendly to you. Here’s hoping the next year is friendlier.
Personally, both 2020 and 2021 were extremely unhappening to me and I feel very bad about how 2 wonderful teenage years had to be lost to nothingness with no social life and no significant happy memories made. My peers and I lost Sweet 16, 17 and seem to be losing 18 too. Such a shame 😢 Sorry for the rant.
I hope your business grows and that your goals for the new year are met, in every respect. Wishing you success and good physical and mental health 💝

2021 was just okay. I mean, you do what you can under the circumstances. I do realize that I’m much luckier than most, so I try not to complain too much. 🙂

I’m sorry it’s been a rough one. If it makes you feel any better, it’s been pretty shitty for me too! Okay, that makes no one else happy, except those with wee little hearts. And I know that’s not you. ❤

Day by day and hang in there! (I say this to myself as well.) Hugs from Thailand.

Good luck with your December goals but don’t beat yourself up if you don’t achieve them. You can always start again any time you want. My last post was about exactly that! Not putting pressure on ourselves is so important 💕

    * Working on my physical being. I’m aiming for a killer body next year🤣🤣🤣
    * consistency on my blog
    * and of course meeting new people, solidifying relationships
And many more to come. I’m actually excited for next year
