As winter comes to a close
And the sunshine dances on my window sill;
I feel the darkness fade away
That heavy feeling lift away;
The coldness surrounding my heart
is now melting into mush;
As the smell of new flowers wafts into the air
I enjoy the cool breeze in my hair;
As the colours of nature fill my view
My optimism soars high;
It’s finally my favourite time of the year
Spring is here!
I can’t believe that spring is finally around the corner. As much as I love the cold, winter tends to bring with it some seasonal depression. The days with no sunshine had me not wanting to leave my bed all day. But the sun is shining brighter these days and I cannot wait for spring to hit me in the face. Delhi is the most beautiful in spring with flowers blooming everywhere.
Which is your favourite season? Are you also glad that winters are coming to an end soon?

Honestly, I typically get anxiety when summer rolls around, but after this winter of heartbreak and literally freezing temperatures, I’ve NEVER been so excited for spring and summer! I feel like it will be life altering and I’m so looking forward to it!!! xoxox 🌺🌸🌞

I hate summers, Delhi is unbearable in summers. But I just need the sun to be out. Winters were so gloomy this time around.
And I totally get how you feel. Looking forward to a warm and happy summer. ❤️

I love winter, but I am getting a bit impatient for spring as well. It is concerning about climate change having effects on winter though

I love winters too but I’ve been feeling so low this entire winter that I just want to enjoy the sun in spring.

I used to love winter, but since covid19, I have become a bit afraid of winter as It’s flu season. I’ve since resorted to spring. Our summers are too hot, so I do not want to say I love summer. Sometimes the sun rays are so hot like you have done something to the sun and it’s mad at you

I am excited for warmer weather here for sure. I enjoy late summer and early autumn for sure. Winter in Canada (Toronto, Ontario specifically can be brutal) and I’m usually fine with it until about this time of year when I am totally over the cold, slush and snow 😊 but seeing it through my daughter’s eyes (tobogganing and skating) makes it a bit more tolerable I suppose! 😊

I usually love it when it is freezing cold but the lack of sun totally got me depressed these winters. But now that it’s getting hotter in Delhi – missing them winters.🥲
