I’ve always had a soft spot for beaches. Ever since I was a kid, I always felt like the receding wave would take away all my sadness and in the incoming wave would bring me glee. When I lived in Mumbai, I’d escape the stress of life by heading to the sea side every Sunday morning.

The last 2 years haven’t been the easiest but they’ve also kept me away from my happy place – the sea. I’ve come to my home village to bid adieu to my granny and her beloved home. Her house is sea adjacent and is probably the only reason why I loved it.
So I finally found my way at 7AM to my beloved happy place – the sea side. And while I didn’t get to spend as much time as I’d have liked, I still felt a thrill just being close to the sea.

Are you a beach or a mountain person?
If you haven’t already, check out my other recent posts –
How beautiful!!! I just spent a week at the beach as well and it’s just so restorative I agree. I’m definitely more of a sea person compared to a mountain person. And even when the water is cold, I force myself to go in because I feel like my body and soul benefit from being washed over with salt water. It’s so amazing and I only do this once a year, but it’s so worth the wait. Hugs to you and your granny 💖 😇

We live close to the Pacific Ocean, and I try not to take that luxury for granted. It’s one of the best places to find ourselves again.

So lucky! I live in a landlocked city and crave being by the sea all the time.

Such a beautiful place!
I’m definitely a beach person.
We don’t have many beaches where I am so I hardly get the chance to go to the beach.
Sad part of living in a landlocked country. 😂

Sameeee. My city is land locked so I crave the beach so much. There is something about sitting by the sea – so calming.

Hmm, I love both the mountains and the beach! But living in the mountains gets into my whole body and psyche and it’s so refreshing!

I love mountains too but somehow don’t like living there for prolonged periods. I’d love to own a house on the beach some day.

Gosh, finally someone who likes beaches just as much as I do
There’s just something about that roaring, crashing, periodical waves that always makes me feel calm and safe

I love this question, “Are you a beach or mountain person?” I never tire of it. A mountain person, for sure. But I understand how the sounds of the waves and feeling the sand between your toes feels great. xo

How beautiful! Even though I really hate sand, I love beaches and the sea in general. There is something so peaceful about the endless coming and going of waves, the horizon, the salty air… Wow that makes me miss the sea so much!
I’m also very sorry to hear about your granny and I send you a lot of strength for this difficult time…

I always find the coast relaxing, but maybe growing up near to it will do that to you. I’ve found it sort of extends to any body of water though, rivers, lakes etc. I hope you can find more peace by the water soon!
