I’ve been meaning to get out and get some of the winter sun that Delhi has been blessed with. I finally made a plan with a couple of friends to head to a beautiful park, that has a lake side cafe and a lot of heritage monuments.
SUNDER NURSERY
This park is located right next to Humayun’s Tomb in the Nizamuddin area of Delhi. It is a 16th century park which was formerly called Azim Bagh or Bagh-e-Azeem. It gets its present day name from the Sunder Burj Tomb located in the park. During the British rule, the park was used as a nursery to grow experimental plants and hence, its current designation of ‘nursery’.

This was also a part of my 25 things to do in the last 25 days of 2022 challenge – visiting a place I hadn’t visited yet in Delhi. Funnily, I ended up revisiting the park at night for a Christmas Market.

How has your week been? Are you enjoying the festive season? What fun plans do you have in the coming weeks as we approach the end of 2022?
