A blog about you!

I want to thank Lynh for nominating me for the Vincent Ehindero blog award. Please visit her blog “Lynh” to read her amazing posts.

Instead of doing the blogger award post with the typical rules – I thought about making it more fun. So the rule for this is that there are no rules. Over the past few weeks I’ve interacted with a lot of you over the Discover Prompt blogs but unfortunately, I don’t know a lot about you. So I’m going to answer Lynh’s questions and post a couple of questions for you. These questions will be all one word/one line ones and feel free to respond in a post or in the comments below. This is just my way to get to know you better as well as other readers who may not have visited your blog yet! Do take part! If you decide to do a similar post – feel free to change the questions to what you’d like to know about other bloggers.

Answers to Lynh’s Questions:

1. Where are you from? India. Currently living in Mumbai.

Mumbai

2. What food do you recommend if I come to your country? Honestly, there’s just too much variety in Indian food to pick one. Top recommendations – Tandoori Kebabs (if you eat meat), gol gappas (vegetarian street food) & idli-chutney (vegetarian).

Aww, it’s so sweet that you want to get to know me as well. That’s how I feel with bloggers that I interested frequently too. So here’s my answers:
Where are you from? Vietnam, I had this on my About Me page but I realize my about me page sucks, so I took it off to edit later.
Which all countries have you lived in? Just Vietnam and the U.S.
Favourite country/place that you’ve travelled to? Korea, I’d like to visit Seoul, Korea again and again and again.
What is your blog about? Ah, I feel like this is an interview question that will either give me a foot in mouth moment or make me ramble. Currently, my blog consists of writing pieces, reflections, and advice. But in the future, I will consolidate my blog into different series personal finance advice for people (from the perspective of someone who lives in the U.S.), advice for people who want to go to medical school, and a cultural section where I introduce you to my Vietnamese culture/food/places, DIYs. The Rain & Sunshine is going to stay because I want to connect to my audience through it. Funny Friday is going to be around as well even though not many people participate in it, I just like to have a just for laugh section. That’s all that I have for now.
Favourite Novel/TV series/Movie: Sherlock (British TV series with Benedict Cumberbatch). I just can’t get enough of it, I’ve been delaying the last season because I don’t want it to end. I never want good things to end.
Are you a dog or a cat person? Woof
Favourite aisle in the supermarket. Ice cream and cheese
Favourite quote from a movie or book or a speech. There’s a long quote from the tv series “a series of unfortunate events” that I like. I wouldn’t say that it’s my favorite of all time, maybe just a favorite in the moment.
“There are times when the entire world seems wrong. The way a reptile room without any reptiles seems wrong. The way a bookshelf without any books seems wrong, or a loved one’s house without a loved one… Still for the first time in a long time, they’d find a place where the world seemed right, if only for a short time. If they’d find that once, who’s to say they couldn’t find it again?”
& 10. McDonald’s/Subway/Taco Bell/Pizza Hut/KFC/Burger King/Starbucks/Eat at home – Pick your favourite and favourite dish from there. I don’t eat fast food that much but I’d pick KFC. Any combo that has fried chicken thighs, cole slaw and mashed potato with gravy.

Hey, i liked your pictures a lot. So, here I am answering some of the questions.

    Where are you from? Punjab

Which all countries have you lived in?

    Never lived anywhere but India.

Favourite country/place that you’ve travelled to? I have travelled a lot within India. My favorite so far is Arunachal, loved being there.

What is your blog about? I really never thought about it. I guess, about me.

Favourite Novel/TV series/Movie.

    Novel- 100 years of Solitude
Series- I guess it would be Rick and Morty ( the animated ones, after GOT, I haven’t really watched anything fully)
Movie- I am a cinema lover. I watch at least one movie a day. Can’t really decide one, but yes I watched ‘The Holy Motors’ recently and it is a great tribute to cinema, liked it a lot.

Are you a dog or a cat person?
    I like both.

Favourite aisle in the supermarket. Favorite? I hardly shop for groceries and all. So I never thought of it.

Favourite quote from a movie or book or a speech.
I am not much of a Gandhi fan, but I do like some of the things he wrote. Like this quote ‘Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.’ I believe this is true.

How was Arunachal? I’m dying to make a visit to the North East again. I went to Sikkim 2 years back.
Wow. One movie a day? I can’t get myself to sit through one movie in 2-3 months also. I recently tried watching “Joker” and gave up. The movie seemed amazing but movies are such a commitment of time.
Thank God you added you aren’t a fan of Gandhi. No offence to anyone but I’m not either. But he said some great things. My favourite quote by him is – “Be the change you want to see in the world”.
      Hi5, I’m a total coffee lover too!
